The 2026 North East AI Agents Day is a one-day workshop that brings together researchers and practitioners across machine learning, systems, and HCI to share progress, compare evaluation practices, and explore opportunities for collaboration on reliable, scalable, and debuggable AI agents.

The program will feature invited talks, lightning talks, posters, and demos. We welcome short abstracts for lightning talks, posters, and demos from teams working on agent foundations, systems, or real-world deployments.

DAPLab has received a $250K Microsoft Azure credit award through the AARI program to support research on robust generalization in agentic AI. The funding enables work on environment scaling and diversification to improve the reliability of agentic systems in real-world deployments.

The DAPLab is organizing a series of events that bring together Columbia students, faculty, and industry partners to discuss the process of transitioning lessons from research and the classroom into products and value.

The DAPlab’s Tuesday 12PM research seminar in CSB 453 (CS Conference Room) invites speakers that can share cutting-edge agent-systems research or can talk about processes in their organizations and how they are trying to automate them.

• Jerry Jiaxiang Liu received the IBM PhD Fellowship for research on data lake agents and robust data systems for agentic workflows.
• Alex Jiakai Xu received the AI & Autonomous Fellowship for contributions to AI and agentic systems.
• Tianle Zhou earned an Honorable Mention in the 2025-2026 CRA Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher Award.
